How Much Do Electric Gates Cost?

The most common question potential customers ask us is, “how much do electric gates costs”. It’s not surprising really. Adding electric gates to your home is big decision to make, so it makes sense to understand what goes into the process before getting into the process.

The short answer as always is, it depends. There are many factors that will determine the final cost of automatic gates; the type of gate (is it swing, slide or cantilever), the gate construction, the style, the colour and finishings, infills, what extras you require and how much labour is required to complete the job. But we have created a Gate Cost Calculator to help you make some decisions before you start your projects.

Gate Cost Calculator

At KLH Gates we want to be totally transparent with you before you start planning your gate, so we have laid out our estimated costs for you on the below calculator.

To help us calculate the cost of electric gates, you will need to measure the opening where the gate will go. You can do this by measuring the space that you want to be covered by the gates from edge to edge. You will also need to measure the height of the gap, as any gate taller than 2 meters will require planning permission.

Our electric gate cost calculator is only for the most popular styles manufactured from steel and composite.

KLH also supply and fit gates made from other materials such as aluminium, wrought iron, and timber. These gates are more expensive but offer better security and be more attractive. For information on the cost of these materials please contact us.
